Overview

The senior analyst is a key member of the operations leadership team supporting timely decision-making to improve business performance.   This position will work directly for the Chief Operating Officer but heavily interact with business unit management teams to compile, prepare and analyze key performance indicators.  The individual will drive proactive analysis of operational data and performance to support weekly and monthly business unit evaluation.   This position requires strong computer and quantitative  skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, build and distribute weekly business-unit key performance metrics (KPI) packages.
  • Interface with business unit leaders to develop weekly levers and drivers related to business impacts and facilitate weekly calls with business leaders.
  • Analyze KPI for business units to identify performance improvement opportunities and communicate timely to managers.
  • Support implementation and understanding of metrics through training of terminal/depot associates, coordination of data population into the Power BI environment, and ensure data quality and integrity of KPI. Assist with development of new metrics.
  • Generate proactive business metrics to “tell the story” of weekly, monthly, quarterly operating performance. Assist management with operational forensics.
  • Support VP, Technology and VP, Business Process Development with the business case development, specifications and deployment of new technology initiatives.
  • Assist with associated project management duties related to new terminal onboarding efforts, technology & process implementations, etc.

Qualifications

  • Business process and systems implementation experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in an analytical discipline such as Finance, Operations Research, Statistics, or Math.
  • Strong analytical skills (advanced Excel, PowerBI and NetSuite a plus, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills
  • Transportation/Logistics knowledge a plus
  • Strong work ethic.
