Overview

ITS Technologies & Logistics, LLC (“ITS’), a privately held company,  is a global professional intermodal services and shipment supplier company that is the industry-leading provider of intermodal rail terminal services, auto loading and unloading and container depot services.  ITS operates at over 90 facilities with more than 3,000 employees.  

 

This position reports to the Billing Supervisor and will be working closely with all corporate departments, including Accounts Payable, Purchasing, IT, Work Order Processing, Billing, Parts Inventory and Accounts Receivable/ Collections.

 

The Lead Billing Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial ledgers and financial statements.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and verify all expected work orders are received for billing;
  • Work order entry and reconciliation;
  • Coordinate and execute any necessary customer requests and approvals;
  • Trailer repair billing utilizing appropriate customer billing system(s);
  • Maintain data in assigned customer systems (mechanic setup, user ID’s, etc.);
  • Assist with customer collections support;
  • Review and address weekly A/R aging report for assigned customer aging issues, as well as assist A/R department where requested;
  • Monthly ramp billing as assigned;

  • Reconciliation of assigned customer billing between all systems (customer, DMS, Netsuite);

  • Review, correction and resubmission of declinations and exceptions, EDI or otherwise;

  • Monitor assigned customer matrices, correcting as necessary to ensure DMS is in sync with customer systems, involving field management where appropriate;

  • Review and act on weekly metrics.

 

Qualifications

  • Intermediate level Excel, including the ability to:
    • Extract data from ERP system and manipulate in order to analyze data;
    • Balance and reconcile data;
  • Strong demonstrated written and oral communication skills;
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus
  • Strong technical accounting skills and experience;
  • Excellent customer service skills (internal and external customers);
  • Ability to work with a team on various internal and external projects;
  • Ability to exercise critical thinking and solve problems;
  • Exudes a high degree of professionalism and treats others with respect;
