    Responsibilities

    Position requires frequent climbing up and down railcars to access retail vehicles in addition to the following key responsibilities:

    • Driving retail vehicles off railcars to a designated parking area within the rail yard for storage.
    • Removal/Application of tie-down devices that hold vehicles in place during transit.
    • Opening and closing of railcar end doors
    • Inspection of retail vehicles for potential transit damage
    • Comply with all AAR standards

    Qualifications

    • The ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. directly over your head while standing
    • Physically and mentally able to climb steel ladders 20 feet perpendicular to ground (No fear of heights)
    • The ability to bend and kneel on knees for an extended period
    • Proficient at driving vehicles equipped with manual transmission (stick shift) Preferred but not required
    • Flexible availability (including weekends and holidays).
    • Able to work outdoors and in all weather conditions.

     

    All candidates must pass both a criminal background check and drug test, and possess a valid state driver's license.
