We take pride in consistently delivering superior and reliable service, a broad scope of services and an exemplary safety record.  We’re currently seeking a Sr. Corporate Human Resources Manager in Darien, IL.

     

    The Sr. Corporate Human Resources Manager is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support to the Corporate Function leaders and their related teams.  The role serves as an HR Business Partner to the Corporate functions and plays a critical role in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.  This position will focus on improving employee engagement, leadership effectiveness, and enhancing the employee experience.  The Sr. Corporate Human Resources Manager will also support key HR operations initiatives and projects, as assigned by the CHRO, that will impact and add value to the broader Field organization.

     

    Responsibilities

    Sr. Corporate Human Resources Manager

    • Understands business goals and recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company
    • Develops & executes a HR strategy that aligns with and supports the Business
    • Motivates the team to achieve excellence in terms of customer support to the field
    • Shares and develops core HR processes across client teams; Performance Management, Succession Planning, Recruiting, Compensation, Reward and Recognition, and Talent Development
    • True hands-on approach, as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement
    • Manages in a rapid and complex, changing work environment
    • Passion for developing innovative HR solutions and process improvements
    • Lead projects at a network level to influence and obtain buy-in then drives execution
    • Possesses a "roll up your sleeves" mentality, comfortable with a high-volume workload
    • Manages multiple priorities simultaneously - orientated on results

    Qualifications

    Professional Experience

    • Previous experience managing change and uncertainty with an organization, while showing the ability to anticipate and respond to future changes and opportunities
    • Project management skills with the ability to effectively present and communicate ideas, themes, and initiatives
    • High energy level and a positive attitude
    • Comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day tactical activities
    • Experience working with Union representatives and facilitating the resolution of labor disputes
    • Ability to communicate and act with a high level of passion and enthusiasm, and be energized by the opportunity to drive HR programs
    • Proven project and time management skills with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Strong business acumen and analytical ability
    • Prioritizes competing demands and objectives using sound judgment and ability to balance other business considerations
    • Service orientation yet assertive/persuasive when required

    Requirements

     

    • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred
    • 10-12 years human resource business partner experience
    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Exceptional project management skills with
    • Experience supporting Exempt and Non-Exempt employee client groups with employee populations of 500+ employees
    • Ability to travel at least 10%
