    ITS ConGlobal is the industry-leading provider of intermodal rail terminal services, auto loading and unloading and container depot services. We take pride in consistently delivering superior and reliable service, a broad scope of services and an exemplary safety record.  We’re currently seeking an Area Manager in Chicago, IL.


    The Area Manager is charged with leading and developing a team of Terminal Managers throughout the greater Chicago land area.  Reporting to a Region Vice President, the Area Manager will spearhead operations at multiple locations with an emphasis focused on safety, administration, maintenance, train performance and productivity. 


    Area Manager

    • Develops & drives terminal strategies through people, systems and process
    • Ensures continued excellence in safety, profitability and service
    • Enforces and upholds all ITS rules, regulations & policies
    • Conducts Safety & Terminal Observations and/or Audits
    • Builds collaborative partnerships between ITS and local railroad officers
    • Partners with our customers to problem solve and improve terminal performance
    • Partners with Terminal Managers to ensure KPIs are met; Train Performance, Lifts per Hour & Cost per Hour, etc.
    • Partners with Terminal Managers in developing and driving employee engagement & retention
    • Provides metrics & reports as needed
    • Other duties as assigned (administrative & non-administrative)

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • High School diploma required
    • 10+ years of experience in intermodal, transportation, logistics or warehousing operations
    • 5+ years Terminal Manager experience preferred
    • Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Web Based Data systems
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong Work Ethic
    • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
    • Minimal travel may be required, given business needs and expansion
