We bring these assets together to unlock value, increase operational efficiency, and drive down costs. We are seeking an experienced AVP Strategic Studies.

 

 The AVP, Strategic Studies will have responsibility for developing analyses and case studies for the company’s various business lines and opportunities (including M&A).  These analyses/case studies will include evaluation of the business line/opportunity, market analysis, competitive analysis, etc.  The use of the analyses/case studies include, but are not limited to, internal decision making, capital acquisition, and marketing materials.  You will report to the CFO and Chief of Staff.

Responsibilities

The functions and services of the AVP, Strategic Studies include:

  • Product/service/opportunity analysis (including M&A)
  • Market Analysis
  • Competitive analysis
  • Modeling
  • Post project reviews

Additional Duties Include:

  • Become well versed in the key business lines/opportunities of the company.
  • Provide in-depth analysis on each key business line/opportunity, including competitive advantages, total addressable market, competition, etc.
  • Prepare both summarized and comprehensive materials on the results of your analysis.
  • Provide scenario modeling for each business line/opportunity.
  • Supported by all the above, provide recommendations to Senior Management 

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Investment Banking experience, including creating detailed valuations and market analysis.
  • Significant (+15 years) related experience in or analyzing the Supply Chain/Logistics sector.

Preferred Tools/Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written and listening)
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to drive strategies and build relationships.
  • Ability to understand, organize and present complex information in an easily understandable format tailored to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to synthesize data into actionable strategies and tell the story and communicate to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven creative ability in generating new and innovative ideas.
  • Highly motivated and capable of both working independently and with a team.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously with competing resources and deadlines.
