Yard Inspector

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Yard Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying and updating container and chassis locations within the yard while maintaining awareness of ongoing operations. The Yard Inspector will play a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient yard management through effective communication and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and update container and chassis locations in the yard while operating a vehicle.
• Communicate effectively with the team regarding yard conditions and activities.
• Report to work and engage with the team to discuss any updates regarding yard conditions and special units to be aware of.
• Conduct yard checks, ensuring that all containers and equipment are accounted for. Create a “no yard check” list to verify no items were missed.
• Repeat the yard check process and communicate any findings, whether it be missing or additional units.
• Maintain a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in data entry and yard documentation.

• Valid driver’s license
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Willingness to work in an office setting, with some tasks involving extended periods indoors.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to maintain smooth operations.
• Able to work 7:00AM-4:00PM required (weekends and holidays)
• Must pass a pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening.
