Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily operations at our depot location. This role requires hands-on leadership and operational expertise in intermodal, port, depot, logistics, or supply chain environments. You’ll oversee a dedicated team with a strong focus on safety, performance, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations to ensure a safe and productive work environment

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies

  • Monitor KPIs and operational performance, taking corrective action as needed

  • Maintain strong customer relationships and meet service commitments

  • Manage procurement and inventory of depot equipment and supplies

  • Partner with regional leadership to set and achieve production, safety, compliance, and financial goals

  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and direction to staff

  • Identify local business opportunities and cultivate strategic relationships

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of successful management experience in a relevant industry

  • Strong knowledge of intermodal equipment operations and maintenance (e.g., chassis, trailers)

  • Financial acumen, including expense control, revenue tracking, and inventory management

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Office suite

  • Strong work ethic and leadership presence

  • Open availability, including weekends and holidays

  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
