Level II (Mid-Level Field Technician): Performs routine installation work and routine repair work, reads blueprints, follows work instructions, and handles troubleshooting with some independence.  May work a solo job if performance and attitude warrants

 

Level III (Senior Field Technician): Possesses in-depth knowledge, handles complex tasks, and will oversee smaller to mid-sized, routine, or specialized projects.  Will lead other technicians for a project or scope and will not manage them full time.

 

This role reports to the Director Project Management and Field Installation.

 

This full-time role is based in Fort Worth, TX or Odessa, FL and involves 80%+ travel to customer sites and operational locations.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Field Work for new installations and service of existing installation

 

  • Install and Test: new automated systems per project plans, working closely with Aviro360 Project Manager and Customer site personnel.
  • Installation Work: IE: Network and low voltage cabling, conduit, control cabinets, control boxes, mounting brackets and various devices including cameras, gate arms, traffic lights, sensors, servers and other related equipment.
  • Cabling Work: Pull, route, label CAT5, CAT6 cable, 18/4 wire and other cable / wiring as required per job with ability to troubleshoot and resolve cable issues as needed.
  • Testing and Inspection: Test completed installations and diagnose and resolve software, electrical, electronic, computer and hardware problems as they arise.  Conduct thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure the system is working correctly. 

Other Responsibilities / Requirements

 

  • Blueprints, Work Instructions, Documentation: Ability to read and follow blueprints, work instructions and complete job-related documentation IE: daily reports, testing reports, redline documentation as required
  • Technical Proficiency: Quickly Achieve Technical Proficiency for all Aviro360 Products relating to Installation, Testing, Trouble Shooting, Servicing
  • Extensive knowledge and utilization of hand tools and power tools
  • Timely submittal of reports, and expenses.
  • Book Travel and record time
  • Draft and submit internal facing reports.
  • Communicate with clients to explain complex issues, when required
  • Positive customer and subcontractor interactions with the ability to lead and manager subcontractors.
  • Work with the NOC Team and Engineering Team as required.
  • Understanding and adherence to safety guidelines, OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office and willingness to learn various business computer systems as required.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of applicable field experience installing, testing, repairing technology equipment and systems with understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • 2 to 3 years of applicable field experience leading a team
  • Technical Degree in a related field
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends.
  • Valid US Driver’s License
  • Authorized to work in the USA without Visa sponsorship.
  • Meticulous with detail; excels in driving results.
  • Experience and certification operating equipment IE: scissor lifts, forklifts, boom lift
